UGA Young Scholars Program

Sponsored by the UGA College of Agricultural & Environmental Sciences, this is a six week, paid internship for high school students. The program has been on hiatus for the two previous summers, but we are on track to host students for summer 2022 on the Athens, Griffin and Tifton campuses. This is an application and interview process and all documentation is submitted electronically with an application deadline of January 31, 2022.

Students begin their application here: https://www.caes.uga.edu/students/prospective-students/youth-high-school-programs/young-scholars.html . This link, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yb86_0xUgoQ&ab_channel=TeriHughes , provides a brief overview of the program. Please note, the youtube video was created for the anticipated summer 2021 session, but the highlighted information is the same for 2022.

If you have questions, please contact me: SuzAnne Lamb – suzanne.lamb@uga.edu. Time is probably short for an in-person visit to your school, but if interested, a ZOOM meeting could be easily scheduled.
