EngineerGirl, a program of the National Academy of Engineering designed to bring national attention to the exciting opportunities engineering represents for girls and women, hosts an annual writing contest with prompts about engineering and its impact on our world. The 2024 contest asks students to write a piece exploring the lifecycle of an object they use in their daily life. The contest is open to students of any gender in grades 3-12, and the top prize is $1,000.
