2022 Junior Legal Internship/Scholarship Program

This program is a week long internship this summer for students entering the 9th through 11th grade hosted by the Law Firm of Childers & McCain, LLC in Macon, Georgia on June 7-10, 2022.

Last Summer Harvard alumni and Harvard Law School alumni spoke to the students, one of whom discussed her clerkship with the United States Supreme Court. The students inspected accident scenes, created documentary evidence, summarized depositions, and gave closing arguments. They toured the federal court house and the Juvenile Justice Center and met with Judge Young, Chief Judge Treadwell, and Juvenile Public Defender Amy Bell. A professional resume consultant came at the end of the week and they all left with college ready resumes listing their work experience for the week and a $200 scholarship.

To apply, applicants must have good grades, parental permission, send an email expressing interest to Christy@ChildersMcCain.com, and one adult (relative, friend or teacher) must send a recommendation by email to Christy@ChildersMcCain.com.
