St. John's College Summer Academy

St. John’s Summer Academy is a college summer program for high school students (ages 15 to 18), modeled after St. John’s discussion-based, interdisciplinary method of teaching the great books. A hands-on introduction to college life with engaging workshops and awesome off-campus excursions, our Great Books Summer Reading Program helps students hone their reading, critical thinking, and discussion skills. Two consecutive weeks, each designed around an engaging theme, are offered. Students live in college dorms alongside trained Resident Assistants and enjoy off-campus day-trips that enhance the curricula and give time to explore.

Held in Annapolis Maryland, the Summer Academy provides an authentic, hands-on introduction to the liberal arts, the great books, and to St. John's unique pedagogy. Our sister campus in Santa Fe, New Mexico offers three weeks of exceptional Summer Academy programming--see St. John's College Summer Academy, Santa Fe Pre-College to learn more.

Idyllwild Arts Summer Program

Idyllwild Arts has the attention of The Hollywood Reporter, which says, "Lenny Kravitz and Paula Abdul have attended the music school, while Steven Spielberg and Annette Benig have sent children."

We offer writing, music, theater, film, fashion, dance and visual arts for ages 5 to 18 on a forest campus two hours from Los Angeles. We will be offering fewer workshops due to the new safety limitations on gatherings, but will continue our tradition of offering the highest caliber programs and intensives for the experience of a lifetime. We will be offering Kids, Teen, Adult and Native American Arts workshops this summer.
