University of Miami Rosenstiel Virtual Open House - October 22nd

 

 

 

My name is Dr. Josh Coco and I am the Assistant Dean at the University of Miami's Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science. I wanted to send out information on two outreach events for prospective undergraduate students that we are hosting in the near future. Feel free to send this out to your students as well! All events below are recorded and we can send them back out to your classes if needed as well.

 

·    UMiami's Rosenstiel Virtual Open House - Virtual - Friday, October 22 at 2pm EST. Open to prospective undergraduate and graduate students interested in marine and atmospheric science. Register Here.

 

·     Students will meet via Zoom and either they will visit many spots on campus and hear from representatives from many of our world-class labs including:

·     Shark Research and Conservation Lab

·     Aquaculture's Experimental Hatchery

·     Atmospheric Chemistry Lab

·     Climate Risk and Preparedness Lab

·     SUSTAIN (Hurricane Simulation) Lab

·     Ocean Acidification Lab

·     Benthic Ecology Lab with Rescue A Reef

·     Coral Reef Futures Lab

·     Toadfish Lab

·     Our Research Vessel - The Walton Smith
